(Use appropriate caution and safety equipment!)

  • 1) Loosen the end cap retaining screw and (if present) remove the old end cap or any debris.
  • 2) Place the new end cap into the end of the Airstream curtain rail.
  • 3) Tighten the screw gently as you apply pressure to the arm of the new end cap to mark the location of the drill hole. Only tighten the screw enough to mark the arm of the new end cap.
  • 4) Drill a hole through the arm of the new end cap at the mark you made in step 3.
  • 5) Make sure that all the curtain hooks are back in the curtain rail.
  • 6) Place the new end cap into the end of the curtain rail.
  • 7) Using back pressure on the arm of the end cap, gently screw the retaining screw back through the metal of the curtain rail support and into the new end cap. The screw only needs to be tight enough so that the end cap doesn’t slide out.
